About Becoming Obsessed

Isn't it weird how you can just accidentally start being a fanatic about something? One second, you're ambivalent, and the next...obsessed. Really? No? Well I guess it's just me. I never was one to do anything in a half-assed manner. I'm an all-or-nothing kind of gal.

So anyway. What brings this on, you ask...well since you did ask, I began pondering this notion as I spent several minutes browsing on ESPN.com today, gathering tidbits of information about the Portland Trailblazers. I was startled to find myself looking up stats and fretting over the DL (for those of you not in The Know, DL stands for Disabled List. It means you can't play because you got hurt.) Even more startling, I actually heard myself yelling at the refs in last night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. There I was, in my pajamas and suffering with the worst headache this decade, and I was ranting about flagrant fouls (for the record, it really was a BS call).

It's all Gordon's fault, just so you know. If you are an O'Neil, you know how the Trailblazers (uh, excuse me. In our home, they are known as the TrailGANGSTERS) are doing, whether you like it or not. So I figure I might as well join in. And now, weirdly, I kind of pride myself on being a veritable fountain of information about all things Trailblazers. For instance, Lamarcus Aldridge has really got to step up his shooting game if we are ever going to make it to the playoffs.
