The Happiest Day of February.

Today is momentous.  I discovered today how to import all of the posts from my old blog.  This makes me so happy.  Yay.

Charlie Murphy O'Neil

Charlie O'Neil got his bits cut off the other day.  His man-bits, that is.  (And just to avoid any confusion, Charlie O'Neil is a dog.)  Gordon dropped him off at the De-Manning Clinic early in the morning on Tuesday.  Poor old Chuck had to be left in a kennel for a little while before the actual removal took place.  Gordon said that it was so sad to leave him in that tiny little pen.  Chas laid his big head in Gordon's lap and cried big man-dog tears, he thought he was being deserted forever.

We picked him back up that evening, a more lethargic, dopier-than-usual, giant of a dog.  Shame on me, but I kind of enjoyed it when he spent the whole evening, lying in Lala's bed and snoozing away.

Imagine what a terrible mother I felt like when the vet said that they had found a bad cut on Charlie's leg.  I remember Sam and Charlie getting into a little dust-up (an every day occurance, unfortunately), and Charlie limped around for a while.  I couldn't find what was bothering him, but he seemed okay so we forgot about it.  The vet had to clean it out and fix him up again.  Poor, poor Charles.  It's a pity there isn't a method of removing Sam's teeth.  It would save us all a lot of hassle.  I wouldn't even mind pureeing his dog food.

At any rate.  For those of you who wondered, Charlie is alive and well and already back to his over-sized, clumsy, attention-starved self again.

And that's the news from the O'Neil Household, where the women are strong, the men are good looking, and all of the children are above average.
